“Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” is the fifth installment in the “Pirates of the Caribbean” film series. It was released in 2017 and directed by Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg. The movie continues the adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow (played by Johnny Depp) as he faces off against a new enemy, Captain Armando Salazar (played by Javier Bardem).

In “Dead Men Tell No Tales,” Captain Jack Sparrow finds himself pursued by Captain Salazar and his crew of ghostly pirates who have escaped from the Devil’s Triangle. Salazar seeks revenge on Sparrow for his past actions and sets out to kill every pirate at sea. Jack teams up with Henry Turner (played by Brenton Thwaites), the son of Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann, and Carina Smyth (played by Kaya Scodelario), an astronomer and horologist, to find the legendary Trident of Poseidon, which has the power to break curses and control the seas.

The journey takes them across treacherous waters and brings them face-to-face with familiar characters such as Captain Hector Barbossa (played by Geoffrey Rush) and new allies and enemies. Along the way, they encounter undead sharks, ghostly ships, and mythical creatures.
